Rush is by far one of the best weeks of the school year, where you get to meet and hang out with people you might not be able to meet otherwise. Some of these people may become your lifelong friends. Beta’s value-based culture and its focus on education and brotherhood stands out among fraternities.

Beta Theta Pi at MIT has given to me a wonderful community of brothers who are always there for me through the good, the bad, and the ugly; brothers who share the same values as I do, and have great things in mind. Beta has given me support in my academic, social and personal endeavors, as well as opened up my network of people, both in the social and business contexts. It has helped me improve my leadership skills, and assisted me in my studies, as we usually have study sessions, and we can count on each other to help each other out.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to create something on campus that goes hand in hand with the values I believe in; something that will last for many years to come. One of the highlights of my experience was being able to start the foundation of a chapter that prides itself in the values of trust, mutual assistance, responsible conduct, intellectual growth and integrity, and that means so much to me. It is knowing that we are creating something that will contribute to society, and will attract those who share this vision. That is why I joined Beta.
