Interests: snowboarding, electric bass, science, brains, traveling |
When I was really little, I wanted to be a space police (later revised to astronaut policeman once I had lost some of the foolish naivete of youth), but these days I'm leaning more towards scientist. Neuroscientist, to be precise, even though I never like the way the word sounds. Seriously, try it, it doesn't roll of the tongue half as well as "chemist" or "physicist." Yet I shall persevere. From time to time, I try to be something of a hippie, but I seem to care too much about things for that to work out. It's okay though, I'm a much better scientist than I am a hippie anyway.
I had a great time at Beta during my years at MIT, and I plan on continuing to do so when I return from time to time as an alumnus. These days, I'm a grad student at UC Berkeley, studying brains and hopefully figuring out something about how they work. I'll let you know how it goes. |
