Beta Theta Pi has given to me a wonderful community of brothers who
are always there for me through the good, the bad, and the ugly; brothers
who share the same values as I do, and have great things in mind. Beta
has given me support in my academic, social and personal endeavors, as
well as opened up my network of people, both in the social and business
contexts. It has helped me improve my leadership skills, and assisted me in
my studies, as we usually have study sessions, and we can count on each
other to help each other out.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to create something on campus
that goes hand in hand with the values I believe in; something that will last
for many years to come. Being a Founding Father of a Beta chapter allowed
me to go through many experiences that helped me to grow personally and
as a member of society.
I never realized that there were other men out there that
shared the same vision as me to create something of great importance on
campus. One of the highlights of my experience was being able to start
the foundation of a chapter that prides itself in the values of trust, mutual
assistance, responsible conduct, intellectual growth and integrity, and that
means so much to me. It is knowing that we are creating something that
will contribute to society, and will attract those who share this vision. Beta
Theta Pi gives me something that I can be proud to put on a resumé, and
say that “I am part of those who rejoice in contributing to society. I am man
of principle.” That is why I joined Beta.
